In our corner of the world, we’re lucky to have such a beautiful state park so close by. The Friends of Cape Henlopen organize this day each year to help give something back, asking for volunteers to come along and help clean up the trails and beaches of Cape Henlopen State Park. Volunteers get a commemorative t-shirt for their efforts and lunch provided by Rehoboth Village Improvement Association. If you want to get involved more often, ask the group about their regular cleanup schedule!
I’ve stayed here several times. It is a very friendly accomodating place with reading books, games for children, eating areas and lounging areas.
